What is the shipping timeline?

Want a better understanding of the timeline? Here it is broken down and explained!

🌱 Campaign Start & End : October 1st - November 1st As the title says! These are the dates the campaign will start and end. Please make note of the end date as surveys will be emailed out shortly after!

🌱 Surveys and Prototyping : November - December While surveys are being sent out and responded to, we will work on any remaining prototypes! A prototype will be started as soon as possible after that particular plush gets funded.

🌱 Safety Testing & Production : January - April After all the surveys are returned and the campaign funds release we will begin safety testing and production! Depending on the volume of plush to be ordered, this period of time can take up to 4 months.

🌱 Plush Transport Overseas : May - June Once production is complete the plush will ship to me! Large shipments typically take 1-2 months to arrive.

🌱 Receive Plush & Quality Checks : Early June Once we receive the plush we will proceed to grade the plushies. This may cause an initial sense of delay, but we greatly value the quality of the plush you receive! Depending on the volume of plush, this may take a few weeks to process.

🌱 Shipping Plush to Backers : Late June - Early July The time we will start shipping out your rewards! Depending on the volume of plush pledges, this may take up to 2 months to process. 💚

Why are you not shipping outside of North America?

Many countries have strict regulations for importing toys, which includes stuffed animals. As a seller I have to make sure I meet all of these regulations or the package may be denied upon entry. Shipping costs also constantly change and fluctuate which makes it extremely difficult to accurately estimate how much a package will cost to ship. To avoid complications at customs and with fluctuating shipping we will only be accepting orders from backers that live in the United States, Canada, & Mexico.

Available stock after all rewards have been shipped will be available through a platform such as Etsy for INTL customers! Proxy/middle-man friends and services are an option for anyone who wishes to support the live campaign.

How do I qualify for cross collab incentive with Circus Sweeties?

If you back my campaign and the Circus Sweeties campaign before both campaigns end, then you will qualify for our special cross collab incentive.

When do I pay for my survey add-ons and shipping?

You’ll be charged for any add-ons and shipping costs after surveys are locked. While we don’t have an exact date yet, surveys are estimated to lock sometime in January. Once the date is set and gets closer, I’ll post regular reminders so you’ll know when your card will be charged.

Can I change my selections after I submit my survey?

Yes! You’ll be able to adjust your survey until it locks, which is expected to happen sometime in January. Once the lock date is set and gets closer, I’ll send regular reminders so you can make any final changes.

I may be moving soon. Will I be able to change my address?

Yes! Even after the survey locks, you’ll still be able to update your address. You can edit it up until right before the rewards are ready to ship. A few weeks before shipping, I’ll send a reminder to double-check your address to make sure everything’s correct!

I'm not sure what items I want yet. Do I need to respond to the survey right away?

No need to rush! The survey will stay open for at least 30 days, or until all samples are ready, which might take a bit longer. You don’t have to make your decision right away!

That said, early survey responses help us get a head start on planning! You’ll still be able to edit your survey until it locks, so you’ll have time to adjust your choices if you’re unsure.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
