Pay Over Time Payment Feature Now Enabled

Hey guys!
This is a very short yet important update!
It turns out the
Pay Over Time feature wasn’t enabled like I thought, but it’s now up and ready to go! Let’s quickly cover how it works:
The Pay Over Time option lets you pay off pledges over $150 across 4 months. It is handled directly by Backerkit without any third-party loan companies!
If you’ve wanted to increase your pledge above $150 but could’t do so, now you can choose to pay over time! To set it up, simply manage your pledge and go through checkout again. If the option is available for your pledge, here’s what your checkout should look like:
As shown above, here’s what you agree to when you choose to use Pay Over Time:
- I understand my rewards will not qualify for shipment until I have paid in full.
- I understand that any partial payments made are not eligible for a refund.
- I understand that I will not be able to access the pledge manager survey until after I have paid in full.
I wanted to make this feature available to those who need it, so please use it if it helps!
That said, if you’re able to pay your pledge in full, it would be a huge help to both of us! Paying in full gives you immediate access to the survey, which lets you add more plushies, outfits, stickers, and other goodies! The survey also helps me start estimating my bulk order and planning fulfillment based on your choices.
Another trick to split payments without using Pay Over Time is to pay your pledge and current add-ons tonight and then select any extra add-ons in the survey to pay for later. This is my preferred way, but the choice is yours!

Hi again so soon!
As mentioned and the end of the last update, I have more to share! I couldn't fit it all comfortably into one update, so you're getting spoiled with 2 check-ins tonight ❤️
🌱 Juniper & Willow Prototype WIPs
Photos of some plush prototypes have started to arrive! Let’s take a look at them! 👀
As a reminder, the first samples are rarely perfect, so they might look a little silly right now. No worries, though! We’ll make improvements and get them looking just right before they’re finalized!
First up is one of our most popular critters, Juniper!
Juniper’s color choices turned out perfect on the first try! That’s pretty rare in plush making, so it’s definitely worth celebrating! Their overall body shape looks fantastic too. All the fixes will be super easy, so I’m hopeful we’ll have Juniper completed soon!
Next is our kitty, Willow!
Willow is coming along nicely as well! The grey color isn’t quite right, so we’ll switch it to a dark cream/light tan instead. But the brown on her face, arms, and legs is spot on! Her shapes are nearly perfect too, so I’m really happy with how her prototype is looking so far. Just a few tweaks and she’ll be perfect!
And here’s a little update on Frasier! We decided to change his longer fur to a higher-quality fabric. It’s a small change, but one we really wanted to make!
The new fur is much fluffier and looks more realistic, plus it should have a better feel than the old fur. This new type of fabric will also be used for the rest of the plushies! This change doesn’t affect the short fur used on most of the plush bodies.

Cinder Now Unlocked! + Important Pledge Info

Hey there again!
Since my last check-in, we’ve successfully funded Cinder the Opossum! 🎉
With Cinder now unlocked, I've added a Pledge Level for 8 Critterfolk Plushies!
The plushie bundle deals are available ONLY during the campaign, so grab as many critters while you can!
We’re also coming up on the final 48 hours of the campaign, so I've included a quick refresher on pledge processing! If you’re new to pledging, make sure to check out the info at the bottom of this update!
🌱 Cinder's Outfit Reveal!
I wanted Cinder’s look to have a darker, more subtle vibe since most of the other outfits are bold and bright.
Their signature 3-piece outfit will include: the Black Turtleneck Tee, Coffee Cozy Cardigan, and Chestnut Long Skirt.
You can now add Cinder's signature outfit and individual pieces to your pledge as add-ons!
As a reminder, you do not choose the exact items at this time. Soon after the campaign ends you will receive a survey via email where you will submit your final selections!
Your pledge will be charged within 24 hours after the campaign ends on November 1st at 11:59 PM PDT. Since the campaign wraps up just before the weekend, the charge might not show up in your account until Monday, November 4th.
On November 1st, you'll be charged for your total pledge amount plus any add-ons, but shipping won’t be charged until a later date.
🍄 When do I choose what exact items I want?
You’ll pick the exact plushies, outfits, and stickers you want after the campaign ends. You’ll get a survey sent via email where you’ll make your final choices!
🍄 Will all the prototypes be finished before the campaign ends?
Sadly, not all prototypes will be done before the campaign wraps up, but I’ll keep sharing updates as often as I can!
Important note about surveys: they’ll stay open until all prototypes are complete. This way, you’ll get a chance to see each plush and outfit before making your final choices!
🍄 Will add-ons be available during the survey? Yes! All plushies and add-ons from the campaign will be available to purchase through the survey, and there might even be a few extra small add-ons to choose from too!
If you can’t grab everything you want during the campaign, no worries! You can wait until the surveys go out to add more items. Those add-ons will be charged separately, making it an easy way to split up payments!
🍄 When will I be charged for shipping?You will be charged for shipping after surveys are locked. I will give you all an update when the charge date is decided and nearing!
🍄 Will Critterfolk be available after the campaign ends?
Yes! We’ll be setting up a pre-order store on Backerkit in the future. Then, once all rewards are fulfilled next year, any remaining plushies, outfits, and stickers will be available to buy directly from our website.

New Critterfolk Plush Goal!

Hi critters!
In my last update, I teased a new critter joining the plush lineup. . It’s a species many of you have been asking for throughout the campaign, and I just couldn’t resist adding them in any longer!
Without further ado, meet Cinder Opossum!
Cinder is a curious opossum with a love for nature's hidden treasures. Their collection of bones, feathers, shed snake skins, and preserved insects might seem a bit spooky, but Cinder’s quirky charm invites others to learn about the bounty to be found in unexpected places!
With the introduction of Cinder we will be rounding out the campaign with one final stretch goal :
This goal feels unreal, but we are
less than $8,000 away from it at the time of this update!
There are only
6 days left in the campaign — let's come together and meet this last huge milestone goal together! 🎉
Once Cinder is unlocked I will share their completed sticker design, signature outfit concept, and add an 8 plush bundle pledge for all of our dedicated plushie collectors! 🧸
Before I end this update I must take the time to say that I am so absolutely grateful for all of your support over the course of this campaign. Whether you are a backer or not, you have all played a ginormous part in it's growth. Your outpouring love, your kind feedback, and most of all your encouragement has helped me accomplish something I once thought I'd never be able to. Critterfolk was cultivated in the center of my heart, thae tender spot that holds the real me. I'm so happy to not only see Critterfolk grow, but to feel truly seen at the same time. In short, thank you so much for everything 🤍

Hey there!
🌱 Since the last update we have officially UNLOCKED THE CLOTHES! 🎉
We hit the goal a few days ago, and I’ve been hard at work crunching numbers and refining the designs. Everything is now ready for you to add the clothes to your pledges!
All the clothes are available in the add-on section of the campaign. I’ve split them into three categories: tops, bottoms, and signature outfit bundles. Just like with the plush and stickers, you’ll pick exactly what pieces or bundles you want after the campaign ends. Mix and match by picking individual tops, bottoms, or signature outfit bundles to build your own wardrobe!

🍄 How much do the outfits cost?
Each individual piece is $8, and signature outfit bundles are $16 together!
Most clothes are priced at the lowest cost per piece right now. Some pieces cost more to make than others, but I’ve kept everything the same minimum price for the campaign to keep things simple. That means that now is the best time to build your wardrobe!
🍄 Will you be adding sewing patterns to the campaign?
Sewing patterns won’t be available during the campaign, but we plan to have them in the future!
🍄 Are the clothes included with the price of the plush?
The clothes are not included with plush pledges — they must be bought separately through the add-on section.
🍄 Are signature outfit bundles locked to a certain character?
Nope! You can select any outfit bundle regardless of the plush you buy.

🌱 Many of you have been asking that a certain critter of the night to be added to the campaign . .
After talks with my manufacturer, they believe our timeline is still sound with the addition of one more plush!
With that, our new critter will be revealed this Friday! Just be careful not to scare them — they might get a little dramatic and
play dead! ☠️
